The coronavirus has impacted all of us. But those living in poverty are being hit in profound ways.

With a donation to La Casa's COVID-19 Emergency Response Initiative, you will prove that in times of uncertainty, generosity can bring the whole world together.

Too many vulnerable children and families who are sick lack the health resources to get help. Blacks and Latinos continue to be infected by COVID-19 at disproportionate rates. Unemployment is skyrocketing. Safe and dignified housing is not secure. Fresh, healthy foods are more difficult to obtain than ever before, and far too many children lack the educational support they need to continue learning effectively. The uncertainty we feel has legitimate cause for anxiety.

But you can be certain about one thing. Together we can make a difference!

Your donation to the La Casa Covid-19 Response Initiative for Newark residents will...

  • Address emerging community needs, such as providing food, diapers and formula, cleaning supplies, masks, helping people file for unemployment, offering tutoring for students, providing mental health support, and more.
  • Support our New Rental Relief Fund to provide direct assistance to families at risk of becoming evicted from their homes and homeless due to COVID-19.
  • Provide online services for vulnerable families. Your donation will help ensure La Casa's staff can continue to provide essential services from the safety of their homes, teach online courses to our adult students, support our young preschoolers and their families while they engage in distance learning, and provide one on one and group counseling to families in crisis.

When it feels like hope is hard to find, it's up to each of us to create it. You can make a difference!

Thank you.
